Special thanks goes out to The Garland Elks Lodge #1984 for their contributions to the family at Veterans House. This single mother who right at Christmas time had to go into surgery to have a large tumor removed and her two children ages 11 and 17 were able to have a very nice Christmas dinner and have stocked cupboards for the rest of the holidays. Crystal Odle who is enrolled in a program at P4AC Poker's Veterans House was in a bad state of affairs when she came to us for help. She was homeless with two children and needed something quick. God was on her side because the two military veterans that were receiving help had just finished getting themselves back on their feet and had moved to there new places. Crystal and her family moved in and Crystal gave herself fully to the program. We found her a job and she worked there till she found a better one. Crystal was doing very good until recently when she started having severe pain from the abdominal area. She had to undergo surgery to have a tumor removed and the jury is still out on whether or not it is cancer.
