aaa

Just a quick update to let everyone know what has been going on. As you know the past two months was my busy time in the real world. During the months of November and December we had several charitable events that provided help to our community. Some of these events include a holiday party for veterans from the Dallas VA Hospital, christmas for homeless/underprivileged children and families. I even had a Man in his mid fifties stop by for help. He was homeless, cold and very hungry. He had found out several months ago he had cancer in three different areas of his body. He started treatment but his condition declined quickly.  He became physically unable to work. His wife left him because she did not want to go through that with someone. One thing leads to another and he's homeless. I took him in on Dec. 23rd when he showed up here out of the blue.  During his time here we were able to give him a holiday dinner thanks to our food basket program at my lodge. After the Christmas holidays we were able to make phone calls for him and help him track down a permanent place to go.  This is just one example of how our members online poker play can make the difference in someones life.  Even if you just want to play for free and make no deposit. You can help by just playing in our freerolls. After you win some freerolls you will have some money on your account. Now when you use your free winnings to buy in to a tournament part of the tournament fee will go to charity. It's that easy to support our charity Veterans House. I could not put him in Veterans House because of the family that is currently receiving help there. Which brings me to this. We need more players to join us online. Please if you love to play texas holdem poker or would like to learn all you have to do to join our team at Americas Cardroom is click on our ACR Banner to download the software for free and create your free player account. After you have the software, chose a nickname and have created your player account, be sure to register here at poker4acause.org and become a member to get access to our forums, private games and more.  The more players we have the more we can help.

Thank you.

Playing The Freerolls

free1st

I played the freerolls today. I managed to place 4th and 8th in two freerolls and I got first in this one so far.

Some of us are still playing so stop buy our chat page and chat with other players while you play.
If you haven't joined our team yet now is the time. Just click on the Americas Cardroom banner to download our free software.

Come play the freerolls and build up a bank without depositing. This is the toughest way to start but it can be done. We will even teach you for free. Contact terry@poker4acause.org for more info.
The minimum deposit is $10 and with the fast and easy deposits and withdrawals you could be playing in minutes. With cash tables as low as one cent, two cent blinds and tournaments with buy ins as low as ten cents you could start playing for real money quick and easy.

When playing the freerolls you will have to understand that most of the players in these games are new and will be going all in preflop a lot. Once you decide to call a pre flop all in, you are in a coin flip with the other player or players no matter what you have. So, you want to have an all in hand such as AA, KK, QQ or AK suited to even think about calling and even then the newbie could donk you out. Try not to flip with the donks. Play good solid ABC poker, play very tight, play aggressive and just keep stabbing at the freerolls. You can't make the final table every time you play obviously, but you can make a good run. Good runs turn into payouts. Everyone gets donked out or bad beaten out of the freerolls. Take it in stride and just keep playing the freerolls. As you become more confident in your play and your play becomes consistent you will start making deeper and deeper runs into tournaments and on to final tables.

Combat Poker Micro League

Hello, we are looking to start running some small ball micro tournaments on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays with games starting around 5:30 PM CST with the last game being around 9:00 PM CST. Looking to run 4 to 8 games a night with buy ins from .10 cents up to 1 dollar with some freerolls for the league participants. Please locate these games in our online poker lobby under the Tournaments > Private > All > Tabs.

This series is designed for new players who are working on building their bankrolls up from either the minimum deposit or no deposit. This is a great tournament series for new players and people with small bankrolls. Minimum risk for some nice payouts. If you would like to learn or play real money Texas Holdem Poker, win cash and help others at the same time while you play or learn, then make sure you click on one of our Americas Cardroom banners and download the free poker software. Once you have our software just open it up and create your new player account. It only takes a minute or two and after you're done you can immediately start playing our freerolls.

Please remember to send an email to terry@poker4acause.org after you have downloaded the free software and created your free player account or register at poker4acause.org to be added to our list of players and to receive special discounts, coupons and freeroll info.

Thank you.
